Small classes…relationship-based learning…caring teachers…mutual respect…community… family…commitment...creativity. These are words often used to describe Open Meadow Schools.
Since 1971, Open Meadow has been making a difference in the lives of North Portland youth. At Open Meadow, we know that caring education changes lives. We see it happening every day.
Open Meadow Schools offers a personalized educational experience for middle and high school youth. Our mission is to educate youth in small, relationship-based programs that emphasize personal responsibility, academics, and service to the community.
Open Meadow is a private, non-profit, accredited, educational organization serving youth who have not fared well in the public schools. Many of our students dropped out of public school. Many struggled with attendance, academic, or disciplinary issues. We believe that all of them deserve a quality education.
